Greatsword Dreadfire

The Greatsword Dreadfire is a sword of royalty; it is enchanted so only those that are part of the noble line of the king's family of the city of Kronrich can use it's full power. The blade is made of adamantine though some of it is tinted golden due to its glorious nature. The handle is also made of near solid Tiger's Eye stone, and the vanes/fins that form the crossguard are made of either stone or gold, making this an extremely heavy weapon. As a special mineral the Tiger's Eye gives the benefit of increased protection, clear thinking, orderly, reliability, elegance, healing, personal empowerment, integrity, willpower, and courage. The runes on the golden fins of the crossguard help with more minor details; it helps strengthens one's grip on the sword so it will not slip, makes the sword's immense weight somewhat more bearable, and such. The blade itself, when brought to bear, is so hot that it leaves visible smoketrails when swung through the air, along with the scent of ozone. Though it's unknown what purpose the glowing red S serves or that of the contained solar anomaly, together they allow the sword to throw greats streams of golden fire much like a flamethrower; it is enchanted so that the fire only flows over and out from the sword when one's mind wills it.
The sword is passed down from generation to generation, and has belonged to Kronrich since it was first recognized as a major city. Since Kronrich is a peaceful city by nature it very rarely sees action, though as of late it has been put to use by King Jonsef. When he died, it was passed on to his daughter Lolanna. Should the entirety of any royal family die off without a successor, the sword will recognize a successor elected by the people.

Okay, I'm still working on the World Map deluxe and the Serathuu colorized picture but they've got *SO* much more work ahead and with NaNoWriMo soon I figured I should upload something nice before then. Two solid days of working have produced the Greatsword Dreadfire and with it I am most pleased haha

So sorry for not drawing another sword sooner I know I have at least a few people who watch me just for my weapons, haha ^_^ I'll try to get another out before year's end, I promise!
The next sword I'll probably do will be either Sanj's Rapier or Terrien's New Red Blade...
